EIPHI Graduate School - Software and Systems Engineering
Degree program director : Jean-François Couchot
Presentation
The EIPHI Master's in Computer Science, specializing in Systems and Software Engineering, aims to prepare graduates for careers in software development in industry and academia. Our program covers a broad spectrum of applications, from information systems to machine learning, providing students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in industry or academia, both is services and research activities.
The core of the Master's program focuses on advanced software development techniques , aligned with the key research themes of the
The Master's in Computer Science, SSE track, targets advanced software development techniques related to the research teams:
- DEODIS team: High-performance computing, distributed synchronization, distributed systems, and distributed artificial intelligence.
- VESONTIO team: Models and specifications, cyber-physical systems, critical systems, and advanced testing.
Objectives
This track, taught in English, is primarily research-oriented and serves as a springboard for pursuing a PhD in Computer Science. This track also opens R&D opportunities in companies.
International dimension
Courses will be mostly in English. The remaining few courses in French will be repeated in English in small groups. The DEODIS and VESONTIO research teams within the DISC Department at FEMTO-ST have research activities with international partners. Their research production is international as well.
Advantages of the program
This Master program in Computer Science includes long research periods in the laboratory, which constitute an in-depth approach to scientific research.
Organization
The track is organized in 4 periods. S7 is a classic semester laying the foundations of a Master in Computer Science. This theoretical training will be complemented in S8 by a research project in the laboratory. This S8 pattern is repeated in S9, and S10 is exclusively devoted to a research project.
